TRUSTEE ROLES

Together our board of trustees support our amazing staff team and lead the Forest Farm Peace Garden strategy.  We meet every 6-8 weeks and ask for a commitment of at least one year.  Our trustees must be great ambassadors for our charity, modelling our core values and ethos. These roles are voluntary.

We recognise that trustees need to reflect the communities in which we live and work. We encourage applications from all sections of the community. We're committed to creating an organisation that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities.

We are currently recruiting for a trustee with Human Resources knowledge and experience. Other specialisms are also welcome to apply, including:

  • Fundraising - strategy, grant bid writing, collaborative bids, philanthropy

  • Legal and Governance - experience of charitable or voluntary sector law and governance

  • Communications - reaching wider audiences through online publicity, content creation, social media, press, community outreach etc

  • Partnership Development - corporate donors or engagement, corporate volunteering, community/voluntary or statutory sector partnerships or collaborations

  • Mental health - clinical, management, lived experience, assessment and evaluation

  • Garden Development - understanding of permaculture, garden design, organic food production, plants and wildlife
