We run outdoor nature-based activities at our large garden and wildlife site. We grow organic vegetables, fruits and medicinal plants, keep bees and improve wildlife habitats. We run educational and health-focused workshops, such as organic gardening, mindfulness in nature, making herbal remedies and home-produce, healthy eating and cooking, and art and creativity.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to improving health and wellbeing, building a thriving community and promoting environmental sustainability.
Since its foundation in 2004 FFPG has evolved and grown into a specialist provider of ecotherapy for people with defined needs. We support a broad range of people, including those experiencing mental health support needs, adults with learning disability and refugee and asylum seekers.
Our ethos stems from the permaculture values of care for people, care for the earth and sharing of resources. We aim to create volunteering opportunities that foster personal development, a sense of belonging and an understanding between people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER
We provide an effective therapeutic intervention for people with defined needs. Find out more about ecotherapy here.
We host community celebrations each year that bring local people together through music, inspiring workshops, children’s activities, guided walks in nature and delicious food.
We offer a broad programme of workshops on organic gardening, health and wellbeing and environmental themes that are open to the general public.
We run activity days for corporate groups to help us manage our large garden and facilities and support the work that we do.
