Herbal cough syrups can be made using different bases including glycerine, honey and sugar. Medical Herbalist , Melissa Ronaldson, will be demonstrating how to make the special soothing cough syrup recipe that Herbalists Without Borders have been distributing at refugee camps in Northern France. Participants will have an opportunity to make their own cough syrup from culinary ingredients and plants growing at Forest Farm Peace Garden. Please bring a clean medium-sized glass jar with a lid.
This workshop is provided free of charge thanks to funding from Grow Wild, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Please register your interest by emailing: info@forestfarmpeacegarden.org
Places are limited and we can only offer a few places for members of the public.
This year we are hosting our annual summer event as part of The Great Get Together – the UK-wide weekend event for communities to get together, in memory of Jo Cox, to celebrate all that we have in common. There will be lots on offer: music entertainment, interesting workshops, walks, children’s activities, cob-oven pizza baking, refreshments and produce sales. Please put the date in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there!
